Ian was in town so I thought I’d drag him up with me. I carefully chose Redondo to do with him because from what I read about it Jo may not have enjoyed it. And boy was I right about that.

The best way to describe this one is that it’s one that you could only do with a brother. I read that you could knock a few miles off by biking from the parking area to where you hop off the road. That was the funnest part. Once we stashed the bikes it was literal bush whacking our way up through deadfall forests and thorns to the summit.

Despite being at 11,000 ft, the summit is enclosed in forest and so there wasn’t even a view to enjoy at the top. The only saving grace of this hike was the time spent adventuring with my brother.
